Renowned Cuban visual artist Rafael Zarza, winner of the 2020 National Prize for Visual Arts, will interact with the public this Thursday at space Encuentro con, taking place at Salon de Mayo of Pabellon Cuba in Havana.

Hosted by journalist Magda Resik, the event is part of the program of activities for the 24th Arte en la Rampa Fair and provides an opportunity to learn about the lives and work of personalities in the art and culture of the country.

Zarza graduated from San Alejandro National School of Visual Arts in Havana and has studied at other institutions such as the Taller de Creacion with the Brandywine Workshop in Philadelphia, the USA, and the Taller Experimental de Grafica in the Cuban capital.

His catalog of solo exhibitions has been honored at the Biennial of Young Artists in Paris, France; at Viva Mexico Gallery in Caracas, Venezuela; at the Numismatic Museum of Cuba; and at the Arab Cultural Center in Damascus, Syria, among many others that endorse his artistry with the brush.

Rafael Zarza thus joins the list of Cuban artists and intellectuals who grace the space with their works every Thursday.
