College students pay tribute to Fidel from the university’ steps

The emblematic staircase of the University of Havana will host today the tribute of Cuban youth to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on the eighth anniversary of his physical disappearance.

According to the newspaper Juventud Rebelde, at that site the new generations will evoke the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution through poetry, singing, flags, posters, photos and flowers, among other offerings of affection and admiration.

At the foot of the Alma Mater, the political-cultural evening will take place where Cubans will ratify to the world their will to continue the work promoted by Fidel.

Yesterday, the present and the future will come together in the event to commemorate the eternal young rebel, present in the daily battles to preserve the Revolution that he conquered for this people, highlights the text that urges new generations to defend their historical legacy.
