The presidents of China, Xi Jinping, and Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko held here a meeting today, the second this year, in which the Chinese leader rejected intrusion in the internal affairs of that European and called for reinforcing relations.

Their talks included issues of economic, trade, and investment cooperation, among other topics of international interest. This is the second time this year that Lukashenko has traveled to China.

During his meeting with Xi in March, the Chinese president stated that the Beijing-Minsk friendship was energetic and unbreakable.

Lukashenko’s visit ends this Monday and includes a series of events in the social and humanitarian sphere.

China and Belarus cooperate on several international platforms, especially in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), from which China is a founding member and Belarus has observer status.

During President Lukashenko’s previous visit, several agreements were signed, the economic impact of which Minsk estimates at over three and a half billion dollars.
