The 10th International Rock Festival, Brutal Fest 2015, was distinguished with a performance in which musicians interacted with the audience of this city and lasted until early today.

About six extreme metal bands from Switzerland, Canada, Mexico and Cuba performed in the event held in this World Cultural Heritage city, about 570 kilometers east of Havana.

Among the foreign bands are Joliett, of Mexico (a country attending for the first time); Get the Shot, of Canada; and Valetudo, Überyou, and The Strapones, of Switzerland.

The producer of the Cuban Rock Agency, Alberto Muñol Chaviano, told Prensa Latina that Brutal Fest has a winter and summer edition a year, and is the only one of extreme music from Cuba with international and itinerant nature.

He said that Camaguey is one of the most specialized places of extreme metal in the Caribbean island, which is one of the venues for those concerts.

He noted that Camagüey, also known as the "Ciudad de los Tinajones" (The Claypot City), for the large number of these containers existing in the city, the band, Sex by Manipulation, alluding to a CD by British band Napalm Death, participates with a project that emerged to debut in this 10th edition.

The musicians involved in this 10th edition of the International Rock Festival, Brutal Fest (which began on August 14 in Holguin), will perform tomorrow in Santa Clara; Friday and Saturday in Havana, and Sunday, August 23, in the western city of Pinar del Río.
