Cuban Group Promotes Business Opportunities in Vietnam

The Cuban Foreign Trade Business Group (Gecomex) today presented their business opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City, as part of efforts to expand economic relations between Cuba and Vietnam. The Gecomex group, led by its Director General Aurelio Mollineda and made up of executives from Alimport, Quimimport and Maquimport, participated in a meeting organized by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs in the southern city, according to media reports.
Representatives from Almacenes Universales S.A. (AUSA), Cuban ambassador Herminio Lopez, the Cuban general consul Bernabe Garcia and commercial attache Yudisley Cruz, were also present.
The delegation will be visiting factories in several southern areas and hold meetings with executives of Vietnamese firms until June 28th.
The group will then visit Hanoi on the 29th of June, where they will present business opportunities at the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and tour other areas of interest.
