The six participating teams in the 4th Cuban Baseball Elite League, scheduled to begin on May 2, defined their reinforcements today during a videoconference held from the Miramar Business Center in the capital.

Led by Juan Reinaldo Pérez Pardo, president of the Cuban Baseball Federation and National Commissioner, directors and authorities outlined the selections to complete their competitive rosters for the selective tournament. The process established by the National Commission dictated that in the first four rounds, strategists chose exclusively from a pool of players previously prepared by the organization.

From the fifth round onward, the options expanded to include athletes not in the initial pool but present on 64th National Series rosters, Cuban residents abroad approved for national sports reintegration, and players from qualified teams not included in the final 20-man lists.

The selection order followed a specific rhythm: the first and third rounds followed an ascending logic based on the National Series standings (first to sixth place), while the second and fourth rounds reversed that order. The final three rounds were determined by a random draw.

This tournament, described as the result of "a colossal effort," will be played in the stadiums of the six top-performing teams from the previous National Series. The qualifying phase, running from May 2 to June 19, will consist of 40 games per team in four-game subseries. The semifinals are set for June 21 to 30, followed by the finals from July 2 to 10, both following a best-of-seven format.
