The initiative, called virtual caravan, in support of the international day this Sunday that rejects Washington's hostile policy against the island, brings together statements from various social, union, solidarity organizations, Cuban residents and also from the diplomatic legation and the state mission located in the isthmus.

On behalf of the National Central of Workers of Panama (CNTP), Rodolfo Alvarado reaffirmed the solidarity of the Panamanian working class with the heroic Cuban people and their just cause against the siege that violates fundamental rights such as access to medicine.

For his part, the president of the Martian Association of Cuban Residents in Panama and coordinator of the network of that diaspora in Latin America and the Caribbean, Humberto Pérez, indicated that coercive measures seek the annihilation of resistance and the example of dignity and sovereignty. of the Caribbean nation.

Faced with this anachronistic policy, Pérez once again urged us to be united and “make our voices heard, so that the world listens and acts accordingly to end this injustice,” he remarked.

While lawyer Lilian Ruiz, head of the Panama provincial chapter of solidarity, indicated that another demand is that the White House remove the Antillean nation from a spurious list of countries that sponsor terrorism, with an impact on its finances, economy and well-being. of families.

Cuba is an example of humanism, of selfless solidarity, she added, hence our commitment to continue denouncing this fragrant violation of human rights and to make the voice of the international community heard.

Other texts also denounce the implications of the blockade for education and the national health system in Cuba, by restricting access to equipment and supplies on which life depends.
