Contest recognizes Cuba as main cultural destination in the Caribbean

Havana, Sep 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuba was chosen as the main cultural destination in the Caribbean at the World Travel Awards 2022, specialized magazine Excelencias highlighted today.

The Antillean nation won this award for the second consecutive year, and several of its facilities and companies in the tourism sector also obtained individual awards in the various categories that make up the contest.

The World Travel Awards recognized the Hotel Nacional de Cuba with the distinction of leader of the Caribbean country in this area, an award that it obtains for the eighteenth time.

Meanwhile, the winners selected the Grand Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana as the best business hotel in the country, and distinguished its Lorca Presidential Suite as the best room.

Meanwhile, the Iberostar Selection Varadero hotel achieved the distinction of leading resort within Cuban borders.

In the category of leading company in tourism management, CubaForTravel won, and the awards for best tour operator and best travel agency went to Inbound Cuba and Cuba Direct, respectively.
