The Bolivian Minister of Rural Development and Land, Remmy Gonzalez, affirmed that collaboration with Cuba in this sector benefits both parties in the sphere of food production.

“We recently attended the International Agricultural Fair in Cuba (…), and a very favorable exchange arose from there,” he said in statements to Prensa Latina.

Gonzalez reported that the Bolivian side sought the support of Cuban experts in the application of a kind of pesticide lack of substances that will leave chemical residues.

The official stressed that pesticides will allow control of pests and various diseases, especially in vegetables, which will permit Bolivians to consume higher quality products.

Carricarte was received by Justiniano along with a dozen Bolivian businessmen willing to relaunch economic-commercial activities with Cuba, as the General Consulate of Cuba highlighted on Twitter.

Cuba participated in the 31st Bolivia International Business Roundtable, at the Expo Cruz 2022 Fair, in which a delegation from Cuba participated, represented by the Minister of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, the General Director of Livestock of the Ministry of Agriculture, Alain Rodriguez, the president of the Livestock Business Group, Yoan Sarduy, and the general director of the Jimaguayú Agricultural Company, Arnaldo Gil, among others.
