Cuban cyclists Arlenis Sierra and Heidy Praderas will cheer up the Giro de la Toscana, in Italy, today confirmed the club of the Antilles, the Astana Women´s Team.

Sierra, captain of the squad, will so return to compete in Europe with the ambition to add to the eight victories achieved in the current season, said the Kazakh team.

Last year, the Caribbeans won second and third places in the stages of the Italian test and fourth place in the general classification.

Sierra rose to the ninth position of the world road ranking, with a thousand 91 points, after ascending two seats in the update of the list and continues to lead by America.

She added 150 units to the ranking of the International Cycling Union, winning the route of the 18th Pan American Games in Lima, on August 10.

For the 2019 edition of the Tour of Tuscany, Colombian Liliana Moreno, the Ukrainian Olga Shekel and the Kazakhs Faina Potapova and Svetlana Pachshenko will accompany Sierra and Praderas.

Version 24 of the Italian competition, a historic race, will be the beginning of the last part of the world season and will have the trajectories of recent years, although it will have an important change in the final stage.

In the second and final phase, the riders will depart from the Lucca elevations, ascend the Valgiano mountain and arrive at Pescia after 111 kilometers, to climb the final circuit three times from Uzzano.

The World Road Cycling Championship will be held from September 22 to 28 in the United Kingdom, where the last day 28 elite cyclists will dispute the individual route.
