
President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko highlighted today the potential of the economic cooperation with Cuba and the fraternal relations between the two countries since Soviet times. Lukashenko stated during an exchange with a Cuban delegation that despite the pressures and the difficult times, his country has always supported Cuba and its Revolution.
Quoted by the Belta news agency, the statesman pointed out the figure of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, who he said "has always been for us an example of courage."
For his part, Belarusian Vice President Mikhail Rusy called to take advantage of studies of Cuban scientists and the genetic potential of a number of plants, including wheat.
During the exchange session, representatives of the two governments analyzed the prospects for trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
