Domina Marina Varadero Opens Its Doors in Cuba

Cuba's most important seaside resort expands its tourist offerings with the addition of the Domina Marina Varadero, a five-star complex that began operations this December and welcomed its first visitors. This all-inclusive resort marks a new chapter in the development of the destination, recognized as one of the most significant in the Caribbean.

The opening follows the agreement signed in September by the president of the Italian Domina Hotels Group in Cuba, with the purpose of managing properties on the island. This step reinforces the international presence of the chain and consolidates the diversification strategy of the Gaviota Tourism Group.

A Premier Location and Design
The Domina Marina Varadero features over 400 rooms offering privileged views of the Gaviota Marina and the Hicacos Peninsula. Its design takes advantage of its location within an ecological reserve, just 300 meters from one of the region's most famous beaches. The resort presents itself as an ideal space for those who enjoy the sea and nautical activities, combining comfort and nature in an exclusive setting.

Comprehensive Facilities for Diverse Audiences
The facilities include four swimming pools, a spa, a gym, a tennis court, a children's club, and a modern convention center with eight halls. Additionally, it features a wedding gazebo that allows couples to celebrate their union with the marine landscape as a backdrop. The proposal aims to attract families, couples, and companies interested in organizing corporate events.

The project is distinguished by integrating the beach resort concept with a top-level sports marina complex. The marina has capacity for approximately 1,200 vessels, features 13 pontoons, and a commercial waterfront promenade that enhances its appeal for boaters, divers, and fishermen. This combination makes the Domina Marina Varadero a versatile option that caters to different visitor profiles.

Targeting the Italian Market
The alliance between Gaviota and Domina Hotels Group aims to reclaim the Italian market, historically one of the main sources of tourism to Cuba. The Italian traveler is characterized by cultural interest and curiosity, enjoying beaches but also touring heritage destinations such as ViƱales or Trinidad. In 2018, a record 177,652 visitors from Italy was recorded, a figure that is gradually recovering thanks to increased flight frequencies by the airline Neos. The new resort becomes a strategic enclave to serve this segment.

A New Presence in Latin America
Domina Hotels Group, with over 40 hotels in Europe and Africa, chose Cuba for its first venture into Latin America. The chain is known for fusing Mediterranean elegance with international service standards. Its presence extends to cultural cities like Rome, Budapest, and Riga, as well as renowned sun and beach destinations like Sharm El Sheikh.

The arrival of Domina in Cuba introduces a distinctive seal of refined comfort, technology, and personalized service to the Caribbean. The Domina Marina Varadero represents a new way to experience the destination, with a proposal that combines tradition, modernity, and an international focus.
