The Teatro Principal of Sancti Spíritus will light up this weekend to host Humor with a Certain Air, presented by popular Cuban actor Luis Enrique Amador Quiñones, better known as Kike Quiñones.
This one-man show combines declamation, character-driven monologues, and music to establish a lively dialogue with the audience. “It is a very fun and interactive performance. I constantly play with breaking the fourth wall. The audience becomes part of the show,” Quiñones explained.
The dean of the Faculty of Theater Arts at the Higher Institute of the Arts expressed high expectations for his return to the City of Yayabo, where he has not performed in 15 years.
“It is a show I have taken to various places across the country, and it has been very well received. The texts are my own, except for one written by Iván Camejo. The parodies are mine, although one of the songs is by Tony Ávila, who lent it to me for the performance,” he noted.
Kike Quiñones’s talent and versatility will once again be on display at the historic Teatro Principal, one of the venues chosen by the acclaimed comedian to celebrate his three decades in the performing arts.
