Silvio Rodríguez, the legendary figure of Cuban Nueva Trova movement, has confirmed a highly anticipated tour through South America scheduled for late 2025. The 78-year-old singer-songwriter will perform in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru and Colombia – his first regional tour in three years.
Rodríguez’s tour will begin in Chile, where he hasn’t performed since 2018. This marks his return to international stages after his monumental 2022 Mexico City show that drew over 100,000 fans.
While exact dates remain unconfirmed, the concerts are planned between late September and early November 2025. The artist shared his excitement in a social media video: “We’re very enthusiastic about this idea. I hope you are too.”
Celebrating a Musical Legacy
The tour coincides with Rodríguez celebrating more than 50 years as a defining voice in Latin American music. His socially conscious lyrics and poetic style have influenced generations of musicians.
The tour follows his 2024 album release featuring eleven tracks composed between 2015-2019, maintaining his signature blend of intimate storytelling and social commentary.
