
The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday assessed strategies implemented in the Mayabeque province, with a view to correct distortions and give a new push to the economy in 2024.
During a special plenary session of the political organization, where he was accompanied by PCC Organization Secretary Roberto Morales, Diaz-Canel also reviewed the suggestions given during visits this year by the top Party leadership to six municipalities in Mayabeque province.
The political organization reported on X that calls for unity, work, and control prevailed at the meeting.
In Morales’ words, some 88 municipalities nationwide have been visited. Following a break to assess results, the tours will resume in October.
On Friday, Diaz-Canel presided over the special PCC plenary sessions in Pinar del Rio and Artemisa provinces, where he stressed the importance of remaining united in the face of adversities.
