According to the author, Alonso shaped many excellent dancers in several generations since he founded the academy in 1950 in collaboration with his then wife, Alicia Alonso, whose statements are included in the book.
Azari Plizestki, Ramona de Saa, Menia Martinez, Jorge Esquivel, Aurora Bosch, Lazaro and Joel Carreño, Lorena and Lorna Feijoo, John White, Donald Saddler and Carlos Acosta, among others, also gave their views and personal stories about the master teacher.
Singer's volume has been launched in Houston, New York, San Francisco and London.
