United Nations, Sep 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuba was elected today as president of the Group of 77 plus China for 2023, in the framework of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
At the meeting of the Group, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez thanked on behalf of the Cuban people and government for the decision adopted.
The director general of Multilateral Affairs and International Law of the Caribbean country, Rodolfo Benítez, said via Twitter that ‘guiding the work of this broad and diverse Group of political consultation is not only a high responsibility, but also a recognition of our defense of the interests of the South’.
The G77 is made up of developing and underdeveloped countries that promote support in international organizations and the defense of common interests
