Separating Cuba and emigration is a political maneuver, singer says

Caracas, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) Cuba and its emigration are one and those who try to separate them only want to manipulate the issue with political purposes, Cuban singer Yoel Martinez, a member of the popular group Buena Fe, said in Caracas.

During a meeting on Tuesday at the Cuban consulate in Caracas, attended by emigrants and some members of Cuban diplomatic staff accredited in Venezuela, Martinez highlighted the indestructible ties that unite those who live in or outside the country.

He rejected the manipulation that dissidents and far-right sectors abroad do over this phenomenon.

The Cuban singer called for unity and love as essential weapons to overcome all campaigns against the country on social media, as well as the attacks on artists, personalities and all those who do not give in to the interests of those who finance that media war.

On the other hand, those attending the informal meeting among Cubans, expressed their positions regarding Cuba and pointed out that they will always be next to their country.
