Beijing, Sep 3 (Prensa Latina) China's President Xi Jinping on Friday insisted on the need to join forces in the international community and design strategies to overcome the adversities of the world and move towards common development.

 

Upon addressing the opening ceremony of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum, the Chinese statesman said that the current situation presents challenges and opportunities to use them for the prosperity of all nations.

The head of State called for greater cooperation in the research, development and production of Covid-19 vaccines, as well as reject the politicization of research on the origin of the SARS-CoV-4 coronavirus, the cause of the disease.

He also proposed to promote trade exchanges, expand digital economy, face climate change with joint initiatives and promote social progress between Asian and Eastern European nations. The Chinese president spoke via video at the opening ceremony of the Forum, which will be held until Saturday in Vladivostok city.
