Venezuelan Navy neutralizes truck bomb on the border with Colombia

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) of Venezuela neutralized a truck bomb placed in the border state of Apure by Colombian Armed Drug Trafficking Terrorists (Tancol), official media reported Saturday.

According to the report, the operation was carried out earlier in the week, during an incursion of the security forces in the forests of that region, where for several weeks they have been carrying out operations against the irregular military troops.

On his official Twitter account, the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, Domingo Hernández, published several audiovisuals with the detection and dismantling of booby traps in the border line with the neighboring country.

"Evil without limits!  Colombian narco-terrorist invaders have packed our trails and forests in Apure state with explosives.  In compliance with the orders of the Commander in Chief of the FANB, Nicolás Maduro, we are carrying out the clean-up work by sectors and quadrants," he explained.

The security forces maintain their defensive operations in that region, with the deployment of more than 10,000 troops, to which were added in recent days contingents of the Bolivarian National Militia, as well as armored corps, artillery, aviation and several companies of snipers.

The FANB troops deployed in the border axis of the southwestern demarcation intensified the actions of search and destruction of camps used by the Tancol as operational bases, in order to neutralize these paramilitary bands infiltrated from Colombia.

"Colombian drug traffickers are hiding in the forests of Apureña's galleries and forest reserves, installing laboratories covered with explosives.  The FANB will track every centimeter and all illegal invaders in their lairs will be destroyed and razed to the ground", underlined Hernández.
