Caracas, Sep 14 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's Minister of Electric Energy Nestor Reverol informed today that damages are still being assessed and a thorough investigation is being carried out to find those guilty of Aragua substation's sabotage, in the Jose Angel Lamas municipality.

On Tuesday, the minister supervised the plant, which was the target of an attack on Sunday, having caused several domestic localities without electricity and water service.

Reverol explained that damage assessments are being conducted; in the meantime, specialized forces are working 24/7.

Likewise, he pointed out that the intelligence agencies are carrying out full investigations to find the important results of 'that brutal criminal attack against the Venezuelan people, to create unrest in the population.'

The Vice President for Public Works and Services also denounced on Sunday evening that the new attack is part of the permanent sabotage plan and of the multiform war against the Venezuelan people.

The failure provoked fluctuations in the grid system, and affected generation, which resulted in loss of load in the capital, the states of Zulia, Merida, Tachira and Falcon, which were partially blacked out.

Lately, attacks on the National Electric System have become one of the essential strategies to create discontent among the population and destabilize the country.
