The Acting President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Monday, January 12, a restructuring in two portfolios of the Bolivarian cabinet with the appointment of Vice Admiral Aníbal Coronado as Minister of Ecosocialism and Captain Juan Escalona as head of the Presidency Office.
In this regard, Coronado "will continue with the supreme objective of developing ecosocialism as a fundamental strategic line of our revolutionary process for environmental preservation," Rodríguez specified through her social media.
The Venezuelan official took the opportunity to express her gratitude to Ricardo Molina, highlighting his "commendable work" and dedication shown during his tenure at the helm of the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism.
Regarding Juan Escalona, Delcy Rodríguez detailed that "his loyalty, capability, and commitment will carry forward the monitoring of the development of our Bolivarian Government's plans alongside the people. Ever onward!" she emphasized.
Delcy Rodríguez made these appointments in the exercise of her functions as Acting President, following her formal investiture before the National Assembly last Monday, January 5. That act, which responded to the interpretative authority of Article 335 of the Constitution, guarantees institutional continuity and the integral defense of the nation after the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and the First Combatant Cilia Flores on January 3 by the United States.
During her swearing-in, conducted by Parliament President Jorge Rodríguez, the Acting President expressed her commitment to maintaining Venezuela as a free, sovereign, and independent nation.
In this context, Rodríguez has urged the population to maintain trust in the political leadership, emphasizing that every decision, even those that may be complex to understand, obeys a strategic plan in the face of the adversary.
The head of state affirmed that the absolute unity of the Revolution is the pillar of the current battle, maintaining that the country possesses a "moral and historical superiority" that serves as inspiration for national resistance.
Recently, during a conference with the so-called "army of communicators," the head of state reaffirmed the three essential objectives guiding the High Political Command under the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro.
She highlighted that the absolute priority is the preservation of peace to guarantee the stability of the Republic in the face of external siege, alongside the rescue of the President and the First Combatant, ensuring that the fight for their freedom remains active from the national territory.
Furthermore, Rodríguez emphasized that the defense of political power is the only guarantee of protection for the sectors that were historically excluded. She recalled that President Maduro prepared the people for confrontation scenarios, stressing that "strategic patience" and unwavering loyalty are the definitive tools to achieve victory.
