Cubans Filiberto Delgado and Eduardo Pérez are celebrating their inclusion in the prestigious Wrestling Hall of Fame of the Americas on Tuesday.

Delgado, who is the current coach of the women’s national wrestling team, has been linked to this sport for more than three decades, first at the head of the Cuban and Italian men’s national teams, and now with the national women’s team, with excellent results at all levels.

On the other hand, Perez was the president of the Cuban Wrestling Federation from 2008 to 2016, and an executive member of the Pan-American organization of this sport.

Ten people linked to wrestling were raised to immortality in different areas: two leaders, three former athletes, three coaches and two referees.

The ceremony is part of the program of the Pan-American Championship and Olympic Qualifier for Paris 2024, to be held in this Mexican city.
