New York Post-  “No one knows how a movie is made – though everyone thinks they do,” he told the outlet.“I’ve made a ton of movies, and four of them are pretty good, I think, and I’m still amazed at how films come together. From a flicker of an idea to the flickering image onscreen, the whole process is a miracle.”

I will attest to him saying people have no idea how films are actually made. I was an extra in House of Cards and my only scenes involved me walking down a hallway — that alone took six hours. Yes, I kept looking straight into the camera and was the reason for the delay, but thats besides the point. I also somehow just compared myself and Tom Hanks making a movie, so I am sorry about that.

In the interview he did not allude to the 4 pretty good movies, but right off the bat you have to include Forest Gump and Saving Private Ryan on that list. If he didn't think those were pretty good then his son Chet must be putting crazy things in his head.

There are 85 movies that he has starred in so I wont go through them all, but I will put a couple that I think must be noted. Comment on the blog saying which ones you think….or just comment I should be fired either way thats a click. Funny enough I am writing this blog, but I am not the biggest Tom Hanks fan. Very good actor obviously but I am not running to see his movies. I think he is really famous also because he has an incredible name. When you are naming your kid Tom Hanks, it just feels like he has to be a star. Half the reason people get famous is because of their name. George Clooney, Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio all really sick names. For instance mine is Matt Cahill and its amazing I made it this far with a name like that. I also don't go by that so that just proves my point.

Here is the list of movies he is notable for. Remember we're already solidifying Saving Private Ryan and Forrest Gump so you gotta pick two from the rest.

* Sully, Big, The Da Vinci Code (Never seen it, heard its good), Catch Me If You Can, Cast Away, Philadelphia, A League of Their Own, Sleepless In Seattle, The Terminal, Apollo 13, The Green Mile.

He has been in a lot of dog shit movies but also in classics where people will be really upset if he didn't think they were that good. If you saw Elvis this year, you understand where I am coming from. I do not want to see him on the screen anytime soon after that.
