Russia’s SVR warns of hidden weapons at nuclear power plant

The press office of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) warned about the deploying of Western-supplied munitions by the Ukrainian army in areas near nuclear power plants, the TASS agency reported.
“They have stationed weapons and stored ammunition, provided by the West, in the territory of nuclear power plants,” said the director of the entity, Sergei Naryshkin.
He specified that this involves setting up HIMARS multiple launch systems and foreign anti-aircraft defense systems, as well as large-caliber artillery.
According to the Foreign Intelligence Service, at the end of last year, several rail wagons of weapons were delivered to the Rivne nuclear power plant from abroad.
“Just as they bombarded the cities of Donbass and other Russian border regions while hiding behind the backs of innocent Ukrainian civilians, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hides ammunition in the rear behind nuclear reactors, because Russia, realizing the danger of nuclear catastrophes, will not attack the territories of nuclear power plants”, he stressed.
According to Naryshkin, if a large-scale detonation of warehouses and destruction of the nuclear power plant occurs due to the failure of a “stray” Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense missile, then Moscow can always be blamed for the tragedy.
“Kiev holds dozens of thousands, even hundreds of thousand hostages in their own country and neighboring states; it is a threat,” he stressed.
