Russia, Venezuela discuss on cooperation fighting Covid-19

Moscow, Jan 21 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro, about cooperation in the fight against Covid-19 and the supply of vaccines, the Kremlin revealed on Friday.

During the conversation, occurred on Thursday, the two leaders talked about several current issues of cooperation, as well as the progress of the implementation of joint projects in the trade, economic, energy and other spheres, the source noted.

Putin and Maduro reaffirmed their commitment to deepen Moscow and Caracas’ close coordination in international affairs, in accordance with the principles of strategic partnership on which their relations are built, the Kremlin stated in a communique.

The Russian head of State expressed his “unwavering support to Venezuelan authorities’ efforts to strengthen sovereignty and ensure the country’s socio-economic development.”

The two presidents agreed to intensify contacts at several levels.
