Russian Prosecutor-General Igor Krasnov and Cuban Comptroller General Miriam Marban signed an agreement on Thursday to combat corruption, TASS reported.
The document was signed during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025), which is being held in St. Petersburg, Russia, from June 18 to 21.
Without a doubt, the fight against corruption is extremely relevant at the current stage, including the protection of entrepreneurs from excessive administrative pressure, Krasnov stated after signing the document with the Cuban side.
The senior Russian official stated, “I am convinced that the cooperation agreement in the fight against corruption will serve as a basis for developing professional contacts in this field.”
He added that the document provided for the possibility of coordinating the work of law enforcement agencies in both countries within the context of key international formats, promoting common positions, and “jointly participating in anti-corruption legal education for young people.”
