The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro, and President Miguel Díaz-Canel led the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of heads of the Caribbean country's diplomatic missions abroad, the newspaper Granma reported.
The ceremony, held the day before, featured a performance by the children’s theater company La Colmenita.
The play, titled “A Locked Beehive,” reflects the impact of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Cuban people.
Also present at the closing ceremony were members of the Political Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their families, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the island.
The meeting of heads of Cuban diplomatic missions abroad has been held in Havana since June 30.
