MANZANILLO, Cuba, Jul 15 (ACN) After a long and fruitful day of touring centers of social and economic interest in this city, the Juan Rius Rivera Cuba Solidarity Brigade, from Puerto Rico, continues today in Bayamo its visit program to the province of Granma.

The historic center of the capital of the territory now welcomes the Puerto Rican friends, on a tour of the Wax Museum, the provincial Manuel Muñoz Cedeño Museum and the birthplace of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes, while in the evening they will enjoy a concert by the composer and singer Reynier Velazquez Alvarez, known as Teniente Rey (Lieutenant King).

On Thursday, the dialogue with young doctors, nurses and other specialists from the Celia Sanchez Manduley clinical-surgical hospital took place in Manzanillo, where they shared their experiences of the hardest moments of confronting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Milagros Rivera, president of the Cuba Solidarity Committee in Puerto Rico, highlighted the humanist principles of the public health professionals, while recalling how they organized themselves and were able to send donations to contribute to the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
