Moscow, Mar 14 (Prensa Latina) The military conflict in Ukraine is considered by Russia as the struggle for its existence and development, the President Vladimir Putin said in a visit paid to an aircraft factory in the Siberian city of Ulan-Ude.

According to Putin, for the national authorities it is not a geopolitical mission but the State´s survival task, creation of conditions for the country´s future development.

Putin expressed his conviction that all current issues broke out following the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) because today’s world order was established by the winning countries of the Second World War (1939-1945), mainly the United States and the Soviet Union.

As for 2022, the Russian president noted that his nation considerably rose its economic sovereignty, because despite Western sanctions, last year was only Russia´s benefits, since the nation became more economically sovereign and independent.

Putin added that the national financial system not only survived, but also strengthened thanks to actions taken by the Central Bank, the Government and the country’s largest financial institutions
