A painting by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso has gone missing while being transported from Madrid to Granada for an exhibition, according to Spain’s National Police.

Titled “Still Life with Guitar” (1919), the artwork was traveling in a truck carrying around fifty other pieces, all of which arrived at their destination on October 3. However, three days later, while unpacking the shipment, organizers realized that the small gouache on paper—measuring 12.7 by 9.8 centimeters—was missing, as reported by El País.

The CajaGranada Foundation, responsible for the exhibition, filed a police report last Friday. Although it remains unclear at which point along the route the piece disappeared, the artwork—insured for €600,000 (approximately $703,000)—is the focus of an ongoing investigation. Authorities are currently looking into events in Deifontes, a village in Granada province, where the two transporters spent the night at a hostel, according to the local newspaper Ideal.

“It’s strange that they stopped here, being so close to Granada [about 30 minutes away],” said the town’s mayor, Francisco Alegría. So far, no arrests have been made.
