In a press conference, he recalled that it includes the approval of 30 laws, including those of the State Budget.

Acosta referred to the intense work program that the 605 deputies of the Parliament will have from Sunday 11 when they will analyze in commissions issues of great importance for the country and the population.

Among the novelties, he mentioned the beginning of a process of digitalization of the Assembly itself, as each seat will have a tablet, and equipment donated by Viet Nam.

"This will be an essential tool that will allow having all the necessary documents at hand, from laws to rulings and their application status," he said before explaining the main activities or moments of the sessions at the Havana Convention Palace.

The secretary said that on the 12th, Deputy Prime Minister Alejandro Gil Fernandez, head of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, will report on the progress of the Economy and the compliance with the Plan of measures approved in the ninth ordinary period of sessions. In addition, he will explain the general objectives and goals of the 2023 Economy Plan.

"Minutes later, Meisi Bolaños Wess, Minister of Finance and Prices, will present the State Budget Law for next year, and then Rubén Ramos Moreno, Governor of Pinar del Río, will update the deputies on the progress of the recovery of that province after the passage of Hurricane Ian," he said.

In the afternoon, the heads of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy; Agriculture, Ydael Pérez Brito, and Domestic Trade, Betsy Díaz Velázquez, in that order, will report on the situation of the national electro-energy system, the fulfillment of the Law of Food Sovereignty, Food and Nutritional Security, and the improvement of the local subordination retail trade.

Furthermore, Homero Acosta will speak about the ratification of decree-laws and agreements of the Council of State, and finally, José Luis Toledo will report on the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Commission, which he presides," Acosta detailed.

He pointed out that on December 13, as part of the tenth ordinary period of sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power, Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of the Republic, will present the measures aimed at confronting crime, corruption, illegalities, and social indiscipline, and later he will give an update on the demographic situation of the country.

"For the first time, the Council of State will give an account, through its president, Esteban Lazo Hernández, followed by the Ministry of Communications through its head, Mayra Arevich Marín, and the Comptroller General of the Republic, in the person of Gladys Bejerano Portela, Comptroller General," he added.
