Nicaragua´s Parliament reaffirms solidarity with Cuba

 Nicaragua´s National Assembly President Gustavo Porras on Friday reaffirmed his country´s absolute solidarity with the Cuban people and government.

In a letter sent to Esteban Lazo, president of Cuba´s National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP), Porras described past Sunday´s elections as successful.

“We´re quite sure this election victory will allow our friendly and solidarity work to continue ahead of imperialist interests and foreign aggressions”, Porras said, while praised the massive popular participation at the polls, which -he added- reaffirms Cubans´ willingness to firmly continue “Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro´s exemplary revolutionary process “.

Over 75% of 8,120,321 million Cubans went to the polls in past Sunday´s elections.
