Brasilia, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva fulfills his street electoral campaign in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday and Wednesday before the runoff vote on October 30.

The official website of the Workers’ Party (PT) indicates that its presidential candidate will visit the municipality of Belford Roxo, in the Baixada Fluminense, and the community of Complexo do Alemão, in the North Zone of the Rio de Janeiro city for two days.

For the PT, the election wins in the streets, and occupying squares and avenues to guarantee victory at the polls is necessary.

According to the political organization, Lula will arrive in the municipality of Belford Roxo, in the Baixada Fluminense, this Tuesday to participate in an act next to Mayor Waguinho, leader of the Union Brazil political party, in Rio.

On Wednesday, the PT candidate will be in the state capital for a walk through the Complexo do Alemão in the North Zone, and shortly before that, he will exchange views with journalists.

The Electoral Justice confirmed that the PT leader got 48.43 percent of the votes in the first round held on October 2, versus 43.20 percent for far-right leader Jair Bolsonaro, who seeks a reelection for the Liberal Party.

None of the candidates for Brazil’s presidency achieved an absolute majority of votes in this first round, that is, more than half of the valid votes (excluding blank and null votes) as the Brazilian legislation to be elected establishes.
