Tokyo, May 11 (Prensa Latina) Japan will co-host a virtual summit on June 2, as part of the global efforts to guarantee the fair supply of Covid-19 vaccines, the foreign ministry reported on Tuesday.

Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi announced that Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga will take part in the meeting of world leaders, co-sponsored by the Gavi alliance.

That association is made up of governments, international organizations, companies and charities, Motegi said.

The foreign minister revealed at a press conference that one of the topics of the agenda will be the delivery of 1.8 billion doses in 2021 to cover 30 percent of the population in developing countries.
