Ireland and Cuba favor strengthening cooperation

Dublin, Mar 2 (Prensa Latina) Representatives from Cuba and Ireland highlighted the good state of bilateral relations and favored strengthening cooperation, diplomatic sources reported on Tuesday
During the online meeting, Cuban Ambassador to Ireland Hugo Rene Ramos and the director for Latin America and the Caribbean Department at Ireland's Foreign Ministry, James McIntyre, spoke about the current international scenario and expressed their willingness to keep talks.
They also reviewed he state of relations between Cuba and the European Union, and agreed on the importance of developing common projects in areas of interest.
On its official website, the Cuban Embassy acknowledged Ireland's support for initiatives that call for the end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States has imposed on Cuba for nearly six decades.
