Tehran, Mar 23 (Prensa Latina) The Iranian film Playing with Starts will compete at the Los Angeles International Film Festival, in California, US, Irna local news agency reported.

The movie is the result of a co-production between Canada and Iran with a dramatic plot focused on the crises derived from emigration.

It is scripted and directed by Hatef Alimardani, an outstanding film-maker and producer with several works that ratify his performance in several roles from 2010 to the present.

The 2021 drama, produced by Ali Sartipi, features Farhad Aslani (Mahmoud) and Melissa Zakeri (Saba) in the lead roles.

Marshall Manesh (Khazaei), Shanam Moghadami (Raheleh), Hasan Sanati (Shahin), Marlos Moreira(Jacob) and Claudia Tiseo (Christina) are also part of the cast.

Also featured are Hasti Javadi, Michael Madsen, Kÿlla Lefrançois and Ali Mosafa.

Since February 1, 2021, the feature film has been screened in the Iranian film circuit to great acceptance and is available in both Persian and English language.

This film takes a sensitive look at the vicissitudes people face when emigrating and was shot on location in Montreal and Quebec, Canada.
