International fair in Cuba promotes investments in transport sector

Havana, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) With the presentation of the portfolio of foreign investment projects in transportation on Wednesday, Cuba promotes the participation of foreign capital in the revival of this decisive sector in the country's economic life.

During the second day of the first edition of the International Transport and Logistics Fair, the project management portfolio for cooperation in this branch that generates goods and services for the mobility of cargo and passengers will also be announced.

This group of proposals demands financing and technologies that will complement the national efforts to develop infrastructure, encourage and diversify exports of goods and services, and promote import substitution in the context of the global crisis that also affects the country.

Wednesday’s agenda includes keynote speeches about transforming combustion engine cars into electric vehicles and the experiences of electric quadricycles in Havana’s urban environment and maritime services in Cuba.

Until Thursday, this trade fair brings together, among other economic sectors linked to transportation, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in search of productive chaining, services, and the search for new business opportunities with the state sector.
