"From small to big steps" exhibition of illustrations , by French artists Amélie Fontaine and Léonie Koelsch, closes today at the Vitrina de Valonia cultural center in Havana.

The exhibition is part of the Month of French Culture in Cuba, which this year has as its theme: Women in Capital Letters, and highlights the work of women in art.

From small to big steps is a journey into dreams and poetry with the steps of children and adults, presented through illustrations for the enjoyment of children’s audiences.

Léonie Koelsch is a graduate of the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg, and Amélie Fontaine is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

La Vitrina de Valonia is located at 356 San Ignacio St., between Muralla and Teniente Rey, in Havana’s Plaza Vieja of the Historic Center.

Koelsch and Fontaine held a workshop for children and teenagers and a meeting with the public as part of the collateral activities of this 10-day exhibition.

Havana and Santiago de Cuba are hosting the seventh edition of the Month of French Culture in Cuba until June 4.

A diverse and multidisciplinary program in which music, cinema, dance, theater, photography, literature and illustration, among other artistic manifestations, invites us to approach the cultural activities of the French country.
