Quito, Mar 10 (Prensa Latina) Oswaldo Guayasamin, the 'Ibero-American Painter,' seems to come back to life today, 22 years after his death, in each of his paintings where he reflected the history of Latin America.

Author of a vast creation of thousands of works, the artist's life extinguished on March 10, 1999 during a visit to Baltimore (United States), but his legacy lives on in the House-Museum that bears his name and in La Capilla del Hombre (the Chapel of Man), a masterpiece in tribute to the human being.

Although the painter could not attend the inauguration of the architectural space, his extensive work gives life to the place, annually visited by thousands of people who learn part of Latin American history through his brushstrokes.

Paintings, murals and sculptures carefully arranged in an impressive architecture reflect the cry of humanity from the pre-Columbian era, the pain of black slaves, the suffering and struggle of women and peoples, as well as their wishes and events that marked their history.
