The Economist: Trump's Approval Rating Crashes at an Unprecedented Rate
especiales

The approval rating of U.S. President Donald Trump is experiencing a decline as severe and rapid as any recent American leader has faced, according to a YouGov poll cited by The Economist this Sunday.
The data indicates the Republican's net approval rating—which subtracts the share of people who disapprove from those who approve—stands at -18%. This figure is three percentage points lower than at any point during his first term from 2017 to 2021.
Trump's Approval Hits Lowest Point of His Second Term
In total, only 39% of surveyed Americans approve of the Trump administration, compared to 58% who disapprove. Furthermore, the analysis reveals that every state except for Idaho has turned against Trump.
"None of the recent U.S. presidents has fallen so far and so fast as Donald Trump [...] the numbers are bad even on the central themes of his political platform," the publication states, adding that his net approval on immigration is -7, and on inflation and prices, it is -33.
These results emerge amidst the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, which has now entered its 40th day, disrupting the lives of millions of citizens through cuts to federal programs and public services.
