Eastern Cuba hosts storytelling festival with foreign guests

Guests from several Latin American countries are participating in the 1st Oral Storytelling Festival “Mundo de Palabras” [World of words], opened in this city with the show "Evocation".

Featured in Mundo… are performances by quartets, soloists, children’s projects and musicians, as well as by the local theater troupe Palabras al Viento.

According to Festival director Yoyi Sera, the event opens up multicolored horizon teeming with music and sounds and pays tribute to the 20th anniversary of Palabras al Viento through performances by Cuban and foreign artists.

For seven days, the city of Holguin will enjoy more than 40 activities designed for all audiences and intended to promote the development of oral storytelling and theater as artistic expressions.
