Damascus, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) At least 50 towns and cities in the province of Deraa, in southern Syria, joined the reconciliation process proposed by the state.

The Military and Security Commission in Deraa announced the implementation of 25 pacification agreements that resulted in the surrender of some seven thousand fugitives, a third of whom are armed men who laid down their weapons, the Athr Press portal reported.

A military source reported on the opening of a center in the al-Mahata neighborhood, in the provincial capital, to receive the combatants who could not normalize their legal status for different reasons.

Also, Army and security forces units completed their deployment and combing operations throughout the province aiming at fully ensuring the reestablishment of State institutions and service infrastructure.

The agreement was implemented with Russian mediation and stipulated the normalization of the condition of those who lay down their weapons, the departure of the terrorists to northern Syria and the establishment of state authority.
