Managua, Jan 11 (Prensa Latina) The inauguration of President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo in Nicaragua was marked this January 10 by the signing of four cooperation agreements with China.

Undoubtedly, the new term of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) executive will have the close support of the Asian country since President Xi Jinping himself expressed his satisfaction with the reestablishment of diplomatic relations and the recognition of a single China.

The delegation attending the swearing in of the country’s highest leadership positions, headed by Cao Jianming, vice president of the National People’s Assembly, recognized the leadership of the FSLN in projects for the benefit of citizens and the promotion of socioeconomic development.

“Our goal is to give continuity to what we brought before April 2018, (…) China’s Revolution and the Sandinista Revolution, have the same direction, path and destiny, which is the eradication of poverty”, Ortega said from Managua, before about twenty international delegations.

At the swearing-in ceremony, with the presence of three presidents: Miguel Diaz-Canel, Cuba; Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela, and Juan Orlando Hernandez, Honduras, the Nicaraguan leader stated his commitment to the continuity of the struggle for the defense of sovereignty, independence and self-determination.
