Cuba’s Technological University has graduated 50,000 professionals

Havana Dec 2 (Prensa Latina) The Jose Antonio Echeverria Technological University of Havana (CUJAE), which is turning 57 on Thursday, has graduated more than 50,000 Cuban and foreign professionals from its classrooms and laboratories.

CUJAE is a project by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, so that Cuba would have a higher education center dedicated to training of engineers and other technological experts needed for the economic and social development of the country.

It is the second university created by the Revolution that came to power on January 1, 1959.

With renewed vitality, CUJAE intertwines the ties between the Cuban university, economy and society. Its graduates have been punctual for the transformations in various areas of the country.

It also promotes national projects and international collaboration in the fields of industry, iron and steel, robotics and automation.

The institution consists of nine faculties where 13 courses are studied. It also has 12 research centers.
