Cuban runner wins again at World Para Athletics Grand Prix

Cuban Yamel Luis Vives, who was second at the 2024 Paralympic Games, won the T44 200m event at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix Tunisia 2025after clocking 23.16s, good enough to notch up his second gold medal.
As he did on Monday, when he finished first in the 100m competition with 11.10s―a continental record―the Cuban beat the Russian Dzmitry Bartashevich and the Chinese Ruihua Huang.
In other results, the Cubans Ever Revé Castro and Felipa Hechavarría also climbed the podium when they won respectively the gold medal in the F41 javelin event with a mark of 38.54m and the silver medal in the T46 long jump competition.
Cuba saw its first gold medal on Monday, when Robiel Yankiel Sol, world record holder in the T46 category long jump, reached the 7.61m mark.
