Cuban President Attends Conference by Ignacio Ramonet

With the attendance of Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, the keynote lecture "Information and Media Manipulation: The Left Facing the Challenges of Quantum Super Artificial Intelligence" was delivered by distinguished Franco-Spanish journalist and academic Ignacio Ramonet.

The lecture took place on the first day of the III International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements, which on this occasion is dedicated to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The event is part of the activities commemorating the centenary of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, to be celebrated on August 13, 2026.

Havana thus becomes the host of an important and necessary event for revolutionary thought and action, convened by the magazine Cuba Socialista, the theoretical and political organ of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), with the participation of over a hundred guests from more than 30 countries.

The gathering is also co-sponsored, in addition to its host, by the Casa de las Américas, the Cuban chapter of the Network in Defense of Humanity, and the Anti-Fascist International.

The meeting represents an opportunity to foster dialogue and collaboration among left-wing media outlets worldwide, create collective strategies to address critical contemporary issues such as neo-fascism, the wars of ideas, and the fight against cultural colonization.
