United Nations, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on Tuesday reaffirmed his country's commitment to multilateralism and the UN Charter, after meeting with the UNGA President Csaba Kőrösi.

The Cuban minister also ratified Cuba’s willingness to contribute to UN´s deliberations during G-77 plus China Meeting in 2023.

Kőrösi, on the other side, recognized Cuba’s contribution to the UN negotiating processes.

Rodriguez, commenting on his talks on Twitter, noted that during the meeting he praised the struggle and the right of the Cuban people to live without the economic, commercial and financial U.S. blockade.

As part of the 77th UNGA Session, Cuba’s proposal to put an end to such a hostile, “which obeys petty interests that do not understand solidarity, humanism and social justice”, will be submitted for consideration by participants on Wednesday and Thursday.

This will be the thirtieth time UNGA will pronounce itself on this issue, although in all votes have been favorable to the elimination of Washington’s economic blockade and unilateral coercive measures.

Cuban authorities describe the blockade as an act of war in times of peace, and as the greatest obstacle to the country´s economic progress.
