Cuban FM congratulates Russian Society of Friendship with Cuba

Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Cuban foreign minister, congratulated todaythe Russian Society of Friendship with Cuba on its 60th anniversary of its creation.

Cuban diplomat, on X, acknowledged the constant support and solidarity of this organization towards the Cuban people, attached to the legacy of its founders Yuri Gagarin and Ernesto Che Guevara.

The Russian Society of Friendship with Cuba is the legal successor of the Soviet-Cuban Friendship Society, founded on November 11, 1964.

Its first president was the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, and the initial organizational meeting was attended by an official Cuban delegation headed by Ernesto Che Guevara.

The organization's activities are aimed at promoting the development and strengthening of cultural, scientific and humanitarian ties, friendship between the people and cooperation between the two nations.
