The tour of the Indochinese region is scheduled from August 28 to September 7, and during that time, issues of mutual interest will be reviewed, the Cuban Foreign Ministry wrote on its Twitter account.

In a video released on Twitter, Peñalver noted that the presence of the Cuban delegation in those ‘three friendly countries’ will allow exchanges on the bilateral agenda and international issues of common interest after two years of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vietnam will be the first stopover in this working trip, where, according to the diplomat, the two countries will ratify the exemplary ties of brotherhood, comprehensive cooperation, and political trust, forged by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and the legendary Vietnamese revolutionary Ho Chi Minh.

In Cambodia, he added, they will discuss the excellent political relations and initiatives to further boost cooperation and high-level visits.

Meanwhile, in Laos, “a country with which we have fraternal relations,” meetings are scheduled with representatives of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the National Assembly and the Foreign Ministry, on the implementation of the consensus reached by the top leaders of both nations, he added.
